Sri Gnana Saraswathi Temple Basara

Goddess Saraswati is a Hindu goddess who lives in Basar, Telangana, India, on the banks of the Godavari River. It is one of the two most well-known Saraswati temples in India, the other being Sharada Peeth. Saraswati is a Hindu goddess of learning and knowledge. Children are taken to the temple for Akshara abyasam, a learning ritual. Basar is a census town in the state of Telangana’s Nirmal district. It’s around 30 kilometres from Bhainsa, 15.5 kilometres from Dharmabad, 34.8 kilometres from Nizamabad, 96.0 kilometres from Nanded, 70 kilometres from the district headquarters of Nirmal, and 205 kilometres from Hyderabad.
