Saharanpur fort

The Saharanpur Fort is one of the most renowned landmark of the city which speaks volumes of its rich history. Constructed in the 18th century by Sah Ranbirsingh, the fort is a marvel in architecture reflecting the combination of Mughals and Rajputs. It was used as a military stronghold, very vital to secure the area. Inside the Fort, you can take a tour of the various buildings including Deewan-e-Khas, Deewan-e-Aam, and the Rang Mahal. These buildings present elaborate carvings, charming frescoes and delicate mirror work. It also has a museum in its premises where you can have a look at the artifacts, relics of past era which gives an insight about history of Saharanpur.
