Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve (RVTR), Bundi, was notified on 16, 2022, as the fourth tiger reserve in Rajasthan state and the 52nd tiger reserve in the country. Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve, Bundi, consists of 481.91 sq. km. as the core area and 1019.98 sq. km. as the buffer area, for a total area of 1501.89 sq. km. The administrative headquarter of RVTR is situated in Bundi, Rajasthan, but the tiger reserve is spread over 3 districts of Rajasthan, namely Bundi, Kota, and Bhilwara. The terrain is mostly rugged and hilly. The area is under to biogeographic classification 4A, which is the semi-arid zone of India.

Location
Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve lies in the southeastern part of Rajasthan in Bundi district, with representation of both Vindhyan and Aaravalli elements. It is in continuation with the buffer area of Ranthambore Tiger Reserve on the north-eastern side and Mukundara Hills Tiger Reserve on the southern side. Mez, a tributary of the Chambal River, passes through the tiger reserve. Bundi railway station is the nearest railway station, situated around 5 km from the Tiger Reserve Sanctuary. The Tiger Rerve is 195.6 km from Jaipur and 455.2 km from Delhi. Jaipur International Airport is the nearest airport, approx. 218 km away.
