Melghat Tiger Reserve

Not only is Amravati known for its culture, but the place also holds interesting things to do. The Melghat Tiger Reserve is one of the interesting gateways while you are here. The Melghat Tiger Reserve is a protected area in the Amravati district.

The reserve was created in 1974 as the Melghat Wildlife Sanctuary. Considered to be an important tiger reserve in India, it was redesignated as a tiger reserve in 2006. The reserve is home to a population of about 190 tigers.
