Kedareshwar Temple

Ratlam is famous for its temples.Most of the temples are dedicated to Lord Shiva and are centuries old. The city has many temples, few are famous and visited by many whereas few remain unheard outside the city. One amongst then is the famous Kedareshwar temple. The exact time and era when this temple was established is unknown. However, historians have suggested that the temple might have been established more than 200 years ago. The architecture, sculptures and the dexterity of the temple show the oldness of it. Many believe that the temple was established long years back even before Ratlam City came to existence.The man made temple is carved out of a single rock cliff. The igneous rock is strong enough to sustain the harsh weather even after years. The architecture of this temple is mesmerizing and majorly made stone carvings. You can spend some time while exploring the auspicious cave of the ancient temple. The Lingam inside the cave is also made up of rock.
